Cross Sound has a schedule of departures, both high-speed and conventional ferries, that conveniently connect with the high-speed ferry service from New London to Block Island. Daily connections from May 26 – October 1, and the fare for the trip between Orient Point and New London is included at no additional charge when connecting to Block Island.

GARDE Arts Center Performances
The Garde Arts Center, Inc. is a non-profit professional performing arts center nationally recognized for its unique architecture and multi-faceted programming. Located in the heart of downtown New London, CT, three blocks from the Cross Sound Ferry terminal, it was built in 1926 during the golden era of the motion pictures and vaudeville theatres. The restored Moroccan interior of the Garde Theater, provides a very audience-friendly theatre venue in a warm and beautiful atmosphere. The Garde is one of the pre-eminent venues in New England for both world-class live performances and cinema. Great artists currently featured include Keb Mo’, David Crosby, Lyle Lovett, Kevin Hart, Gordon Lightfoot, Garrison Keillor, Michael McDonald, Melissa Etheridge, Manhattan Short Film Festival, Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and many others. Thames River Heritage Park
The Thames River Heritage Park is a collection of national and historic sites along both shores of the Thames that tell the stories that shaped our nation. The New London and Groton sites are linked by a hop-on hop-off water taxi. The Park is the first heritage Park in Connecticut and unlike a conventional park with fixed boundaries, the heritage park draws together historical and contemporary sites, communities, and institutions where visitors can experience the region’s many attractions, restaurants, galleries and shops. In addition to the water taxi, the Park offers regularly scheduled historic boat tours. The water taxi runs Memorial Day weekend through mid-September.
