D-Day Same Day Round Trip Passenger Special 2025

We will be offering a $15 SDRT Adult Ticket and $5 SDRT Child Ticket to customers who want to take a ride on the CAPE HENLOPEN, formerly LST 510 from World War II, on D-Day, June 6, 2025.

• • Reservations not required, but may be made through our Call Center, 860-443-5281 or 631-323-2525. The Special D-Day tickets are not available on our website, but a summary of the rules will be posted on our Promo Page.
• • This Same Day Round Trip may originate from either side.
• • At least one leg of the trip must be on the CAPE HENLOPEN
• • Valid for walk-on passengers only. Not valid for passengers in vehicles or for vehicle tickets.
• • $15 D-Day Adult SDRT ticket. This will be a special Ticket Type.
• • $5 D-Day Child SDRT ticket. This will be a special Ticket Type.
• • The full price of the SDRT will be applied to the first leg, return has no value.
• • Valid on Friday, June 6, 2025 only.
• • Promotion cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.
• • Our fuel surcharge is included in the Promotion Price.
• • Parking is free at the Orient Point Ferry Terminal. Parking is $15 at the New London Ferry Terminal and may be limited. Parking is also available at the Water Street Parking Garage across the street from the New London Ferry Terminal.

Connecting Long Island’s Orient Point to Block Island

Ever want to be an Island hopper? Here’s your chance. Cross Sound Ferry and Block Island Express offer connections to Block Island from Orient Point, Long Island via Cross Sound Ferry. Cross Sound has a schedule of departures that conveniently connect with the high-speed ferry service from New London to Block Island. The fare for the trip between Orient Point and New London is included at no additional charge when connecting to Block Island.

Sound life. Sound wine. On your way to or from the ferry at Orient Point, be sure to include a stop at Kontokosta Winery and experience their award-winning wines. Auto Ferry and high-speed ferry customers with a current confirmation or ferry receipt dated within three days of travel will receive a 2 for 1 tasting flight and 10% off bottle or case purchases. Receipts and confirmations from Lighthouse Cruises are not valid.

Thames River Heritage Park

The Thames River Heritage Park is a collection of national and historic sites along both shores of the Thames that tell the stories that shaped our nation. The New London and Groton sites are linked by a hop-on hop-off water taxi. The Park is the first heritage Park in Connecticut and unlike a conventional park with fixed boundaries, the heritage park draws together historical and contemporary sites, communities, and institutions where visitors can experience the region’s many attractions, restaurants, galleries and shops. In addition to the water taxi, the Park offers regularly scheduled historic boat tours. The water taxi runs Memorial Day weekend through mid-September.
