NOTICE
Effective October 2, 2023, Cross Sound Ferry will be reinstating our fuel surcharge on all fares. Fuel prices have been rising rapidly over the past few months.
We regret the need to impose the surcharge, but Cross Sound Ferry can no longer absorb the entirety of the increased fuel prices. We will continue to share the impact of the higher costs and will split the increased cost with our customers. Our new surcharge will be a percentage applied to all published fares, and will be based on our most recent fuel costs. We will adjust the fuel surcharge up or down every 7 days.
The average price we paid for fuel increased slightly over the past 7 days. Effective today, April 11th, the fuel surcharge will increase from 2.9% to 3.3%. We will continue to reevaluate the surcharge every 7 days.
As a reminder, our Cross Sound Ferry Rewards program allows customers to earn 5% of their ferry purchases for points that can be used for future travel. Our Captain’s Card Program allows customers to earn up to 10% added value to a preloaded debit card that can be used for ferry travel. When combined these programs save customers up to 15% for their travel with Cross Sound Ferry. We hope you are able to take advantage of these programs.

25% off auto and passenger fares at Base and Full price with US Active Duty Military ID. One discounted ticket per military person. Must show US Active Duty Military ID in the ticket office to receive the discount. Children under 12 qualify for child fares. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older.
ABOUT OUR FARES
REMEMBER THAT AUTO AND DRIVER INCLUDES DRIVER! Don’t forget to subtract the driver when calculating additional passengers. For example, for a couple driving together, cost is auto and driver with ONE additional passenger.
PRIORITY SERVICE
Enjoy the luxury of being able to board the ferry first or arrive a little later for your reservation and not lose your spot. Once on the other side, be one of the first vehicles off the ferry, and arrive at your destination that much sooner. Priority Service pricing applies only to auto/driver tickets; passenger fares remain the same as Standard Fares. Some restrictions apply.
