The USS Nautilus was the world’s first nuclear-powered submarine, and you’re welcome to board her at the Submarine Force Museum, adjacent to the US Naval Submarine Base in Groton. Inside the museum, there’s something of interest for visitors of every age, including a new mini-theater and an exhibit celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the sub-base, which accompanies old favorites like the opportunity to sit in a real control room and experience the hands-on duties of submariners.
