The National Hotel was built in 1888 and sits in the heart of the historic district directly across from the ferry landing. It is walking distance to the shops, restaurants and beaches. The hotel has 45 rooms all with private baths, televisions and telephones; many offer a beautiful ocean view. Our rates do include a light continental breakfast. The restaurant has seating on our porch overlooking the Old Harbor as well as inside dining. It is known for its great steaks and seafood. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also an outside bar with a raw bar. The National Hotel has one of the best locations on Block Island.
